Pesach Report

The Vaad MBMS is pleased to report that the pesach campaign was a huge success. A special mivtzoim price enabled bachurim & yungeleit who are involved in hafotzas hama’ayonos vehayahdus to purchase it and hundreds of pieces of the Kol menachem Haggadah were sold. Members of the vaad gave out the seforim on consignment to whoever wished to try to spread the Rebbe’s Torah. The response was overwhelming! In many cases the bachurim were rewarded by donations that covered the expenses of their entire shmura matza campaign!
One Oholei Torah Mesivta bochur who had sold 20 pieces before Pesach, received multiple requests for more after yom tov was over.

Although the Vaad MBMS had no intention to make money on Mivtzoim’s cheshbon, Kol Menachem had requested them to charge more than the regular wholesale price because they knew some local vendors can’t relate to the concept of Mivtzoim and would consider the cheap price competition. The Vaad MBMS, who did not advertise their Mivtzoim price to the local public, did not agree with this way of thinking, but was nevertheless forced to comply with the condition.
B”H the proceeds of the sales were largely given to shluchim who needed help paying for their public sedorim and their shmura matzah campaigns.

The following email was received from a shliach who had come in for 11 Nissan and had received a small financial donation as well as some kol menachem haggadahs to give to his bigger donors.

“BTW, the recipient of the Gutnick Hagada, could not stop talking about it. He poshut was raving about it, thank you for sponsoring it.”
